Abstract: Around 1 million people in the USA and 2.8 million people around the globe are living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which currently has no cure. Incomplete recovery, long-term disability, worsening of symptoms leads to disruption in the Quality of Life among MS patients. However, modifiable lifestyle factors (MLFs) have demonstrated the potential to improve health and wellbeing in MS patients. Therefore, by leveraging social media analytics, this study aims to understand the public perspective on MLFs as reflected in the online generated information. The study identified topics pertaining to MLFs and evaluated the relative prevalence of these topics in social media discourse. The results and analysis showed th at Diet and Temperature are the two main factors for MS patients to constantly maintain and monitor. Further, this study can help the medical community in recommending the best lifestyle measure s that is necessary for an MS patient. Collapse

Abstract: Advanced programming skills are required for computing courses on merging topics, and students often struggle to develop these skills to solve complex problems. Faculty tackle this challenge by providing extra lectures, practice sessions, technologies, and education tools. This paper discusses the challenges faced by computer science students in developing advanced programming skills and explores the use of AI chatbots, specifically ChatGPT, as a support tool for learning. We study the engagement and effectiveness of ChatGPT in helping students learn advanced programming skills using two engagement learning frameworks (CIE and MELT) for evaluation. The study involves designing a lab exercise for students to complete using ChatGPT and collecting data through surveys. We present the findings of the study and discuss the limitations of the work. Abstract: Digitization offers several possibilities to alter consumer decisions to support social concerns. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of personalized digital social norm nudges on consumer decisions enriched with the theory of warm glow on e-grocery buying decisions with the aim of supporting social projects. Specific pro-social behaviors targeted were supporting fair payment of the producers of grocery goods, social inclusion projects and initiatives against poverty by deciding for a specific choice option. A between-subjects experiment was performed with the help of a questionnaire using a mock-up mobile grocery store to measure product choices. Results showed that claims supporting pro-social initiatives have a significant impact on buying decisions. Perceived product recommendation influenced our model positively, while we had a negative price impact. The study suggests that warm glow theory and enriched social norm nudges are effective tools for behavior change towards social initiatives. Collapse

Abstract: Crowdfunding, a technology-based alternative for raising capital, has attracted many researchers to investigate the factors influencing the behavioral intention of the funders and fund-seekers. However, empirical results reported by the existing studies have been fragmented so far. Prior studies have failed to provide a clear understanding of the moderating role of national culture. This meta-analytic study presents and tests a conceptual framework in the context of crowdfunding investigates the key factors influencing the funder's intention as well as studies the moderating role of Hofstede's four cultural dimensions. Drawing on data from 50 articles (51 studies) representing the sample size of around 19700 funders or projects, our results highlight that all the nine hypothesized relationships are significant and positive. The moderator results also indicate that all four cultural dimensions significantly moderate most of the hypothesized relationships. Abstract: Information systems research and practice have certainly realised the relevance of digital transformation. At the same time, societal challenges are pushing sustainability transformation to the top of agendas. Today, both transformations are crucial to organisations' development. However, research and practice typically focus on one of the transformations in isolation or prioritise one over the other. An integrated perspective of the potential at both transformations' interface is missing, which accounts for their interplay on an equal level. We call this interplay twin transformation and present a twin transformation model building on a structured literature review. The twin transformation model reflects the mutually reinforcing relationships of digital transformation and sustainability transformation on eight organisational layers. Therewith, we uncover how digital transformation enables sustainability transformation and how sustainability transformation redesigns digital transformation. Our research contributes to descriptive knowledge and forms the basis for further theorising while offering practitioners inspiration to pursue twin transformation. Collapse

Abstract: Green information systems are often praised for their potential to foster sustainability in citizens’ daily lives and meet their needs. With this focus on citizens, districts that use smart technologies provide a litmus test, the results of which will indicate how to design smart green information systems that better meet the needs and desires of citizens. To date, however, guidelines on how to design such green information systems in urban areas or actively involve citizens in this process are few and far between. In recognition and remedy of this shortage, the study draws on the design science research paradigm to develop seven design principles for citizen-centric green information systems that can be used in sustainable smart districts. These principles are evaluated in 15 semi-structured interviews and a prototype of a mobile district app for a citizen-centric green information system is instantiated. By taking this citizen-centric perspective, the paper fosters the active involvement of humans in the design of sustainable urban environments. Collapse

Abstract: The relationship between digital transformation and organizational identity is an immanent topic in IS, which is especially relevant for small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to their reliance on implementing digital technologies to stay competitive. However, little is known about this relationship in this specific context. Based on theories and concepts about digital transformation, organizational identity, and SMEs, we conducted an in-depth case study with a German Mittelstand company in the engineering sector. Building on a conceptual archetype framework, we reveal that different manifestations of digital transformation have different impact on organizational identity. Thereby, we contribute to IS research by highlighting the mutual dependency of these concepts and by underlining the necessity for being aligned to the specifics of SMEs. Abstract: Traditionally, information systems (IS) research investigates socio-technical systems in organizations and the workplace. As IS have become an integral part of our daily lives, IS research nowadays also incorporates the private space. However, efforts to date have mostly focused on adults. Children, born into a digital world today, have been mostly left out. Yet our discipline not only has the potential to contribute to the adequate and child-friendly design of IS artifacts for children but can also help to further develop theories on children's behavior. For this to succeed, IS researchers need to adapt their approach to children. Ethical considerations should address children's vulnerability, the design of interventions should happen in close collaboration with children, research methods should be child-centered, and the specificities of children should be kept present in result analyses.
