Abstract: Research on social media applications in the context of social movements is still in its nascent stages in information systems research. However, there have been a number of empirical studies in addition to conceptual studies in recent years. The objective of this paper is to propose a literature review to assess the current state of knowledge in this research program and, thus, identify opportunities and avenues to build on this body of knowledge. Informed by Lakatos (1970) approach, we analyze the core and the protective belt of the current scholarship in this area. We utilize Boell's (2014) hermeneutic framework to conduct our literature review. Our research will assist scholars in this field to identify research papers and core theories in the research program relevant to their work, in addition to suggesting avenues for future theoretical development and research, utilizing hitherto unexplored methodologies, technological platforms, and social movement contexts. Abstract: Due to climate change, hazardous events and disasters are going to become more frequent and intense, increasing disaster risk. Information Communication Technologies (ICT) can play a powerful role in building resilience in all the phases of the disaster cycle by stimulating collaboration and communication among different actors. However, there is a lack of studies that connect these fields of study. Thus, a resilient thinking approach that considers ICT and disaster is required to face these challenges. To identify resilience aspects promoted by ICT in case of disaster, this study conducted a content and bibliometric analysis, resulting in nineteen aspects. The findings contribute to the current discussion and help decision-makers in understanding how to implement an ICT that enhances resilience for communities affected by disasters. Collapse

Abstract: Digital transformation (DT) is typically described as a strategic, top-down initiative where new digital technologies fundamentally disrupt an organisation’s structure, procedures, and processes to enhance its value proposition. We propose a middle-range theory which highlights that DT of professional practices in healthcare follows a different path. To build this theory, we transpose the metaphor of a “fitness landscape” from evolutionary biology to a professional healthcare context to build an intermediate conceptualisation, which is then refined through an empirical study. Our theory highlights that external events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, changing patient behaviours or the availability of new digital resources, transform the “value landscape” upon which healthcare professionals create and deliver healthcare services to patients. Empowered by their professional autonomy and driven by their service orientation, healthcare professionals search for new paths and peaks for value creation and delivery across a rugged landscape. As digital resources are leveraged, new value propositions in practice emerge, and professional healthcare practices are digitally transformed. Collapse

Abstract: The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) requires significant resources, which creates a conflict in light of the growing importance of sustainable practices. To address this challenge, it is essential to consider its reusability but the unique nature of AI necessitates the development of specific design principles tailored to AI systems. Thus, we utilize design science research and leverage established design knowledge that encompasses principles for creating AI solutions that can be reused. Our approach incorporates Wenger's (1998) framework of Community of Practice and involves iterative refinement and evaluation of our design knowledge through design thinking workshops, focus group discussions, and expert interviews. Furthermore, we explore how the established design principles for developing reusable AI solutions can contribute to the promotion of socially and environmentally sustainable business practices. By discussing these topics, we aim to inspire further exploration and investigation in the field of Information Systems research. Collapse
