Abstract: Insight and understanding of the structure of units can be considered one of mathematics’ most important learning areas, as it is needed in everyday life. It is essential in everyday tasks, such as trading goods, which requires dealing with monetary values and, e.g., lengths, weights, volumes, or area units. In addition, students in higher education after primary school show problems with understanding units by confusing units, especially in advanced STEM subjects, e.g., physics. The paper shows how Augmented Reality (AR) technology can be used to gain insight into understanding units by visualizing units of length using an AR app. The design of the AR app will be presented, which was developed after a theoretical grounding and practical testing with an existing AR measuring tool on the app market. Design Science Research (DSR) will be used to develop a suitable content learning environment using the AR app. The learning environment will then be tested with students again and disseminated in international workshops for teachers. Abstract: The nursing discipline is increasingly confronted with far-reaching challenges that are a prominent subject in public discourse. Factors such as growing numbers of chronically ill patients and an ongoing decrease in medical personnel impose unprecedented strain on clinical care providers and nurses, which requires high levels of resilience on an individual and organizational level. The introduction of digital information and communication technology (ICT) in the workplace is intended to counteract these challenges and foster resilient everyday care. However, studies that investigate the interplay of digitalization and individual resilience are scarce. Hence, we propose a mixed-method approach to explore how ICT use in a clinical work setting influences nurses' sense of coherence. This construct has been used as a theoretical foundation to investigate resilience in nursing. Further, the exploration of individual coping strategies in the light of ICT-related disturbances in the workplace and associated job-related outcomes complement the research agenda. Collapse

Abstract: Continuous use of cloud computing and cloud sourcing has received limited research attention compared to cloud adoption. There are indications that cloud sourcing benefits are not easy to reap in continuous use for companies, calling for more research on the continuance use of cloud computing. The current study is one of the first studies of the continuance use of cloud computing processes at the organizational level, contributing to the management and business research literature on cloud computing. In particular, the present study has contributed with two case studies verifying the existence of barriers and more importantly identifying an additional type of barrier: management process barriers (MP), i.e., lack of objectives and strategies for cloud sourcing and lack of organizing cloud vendor communication. Overcoming or reducing management process barriers guides the continuance use of cloud computing process in a strategic direction for the company and enables cloud-related innovation. As a contribution, our research builds on and extends extant research by providing a TOMPE framework of barriers to the continuance use of cloud computing (based and modified from the technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework, by complementing it with the identified man­ agement process barriers). Abstract: Digital platforms have emerged as an important technology underpinning the new economy. A key problem in such platforms concerns provisioning decisions for customer-service requests, in order to maximize the pro­ vider’s revenue subject to resource availability. Provisioning is important to meet customer needs, and in turn, for customer retention. The service provisioning problem, in addition to being NP-hard, is further compounded by the fact that the timeframe to make provisioning decisions is short, and more importantly, varies considerably across different platform domains. Digital-platform customers often request bundled services and are sensitive to when tasks get completed. We describe a behavioral-economic model of this problem and develop a domainindependent solution featuring a judicious combination of optimization-backed rule-based approach. Through extensive computational results, we show how our approach has the potential for generalizability and tailor­ ability across different domains in a seamless manner, thus offering the advantages proposed in the softwarereusability literature. Implications to platform sustainability, reusable platform solutions and to practical ap­ proaches to real-time platforms are also provided. Collapse

Abstract: Online Medical Records (OMR) platforms remain a key enabler to health management. Yet, how beliefs toward OMR and its subsequent nonuse are related is not understood. Applying the status quo bias (SQB) theory and the privacy paradox paradigm the study examines OMR nonusers and contributes to the health technology use literature. Using the Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) iteration 5, Cycle 1 and 3 data, mediation analysis reveals that inertia expressed as preference for speaking directly with healthcare providers predicts perceived need for OMR and partially mediates the relationship between perceived privacy concerns and need; having a chronic disease partially moderates such relationships. Thus, not all nonusers are created equal. Attaining benefits that come with capabilities and functionalities of OMR necessitates meaningful use of OMR by individuals. Healthcare providers or policymakers should intervene to dispel inertia or patient concerns to expand OMR use to facilitate healthcare decision making. Collapse

Abstract: Online Medical Records (OMR) platforms can provide benefits to chronic disease patients. Yet, OMR use among them is suboptimal. The study identifies clusters among nonusers of OMR among chronic patients. The Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) iteration 5, Cycle 3 data were used to analyze 1071 respondents. Latent Class Analysis was run on the six reasons for nonuse (no record, speaking directly, privacy or security of the website, no Internet, login issues, and no need to access) and resulted in 3 clusters. About 19% subjects expressed multiple reasons and 69% just one strong reason. Demographic and clinical attributes were partially associated. For electronic wearable/tracking device use or electronic communication, differences among clusters were noted; persistent resisters showed lower propensities to use. Interventions to improve patient use of Internet-based health technologies should be customized and help produce patient-generated data facilitating healthcare decision-making. Collapse

Abstract: The UN High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR) is pursuing a social media strategy to inform people about displaced populations and refugee emergencies. It is actively engaging public figures to increase awareness through its prosocial communications and improve social informedness and support for policy changes in its services. We studied the Twitter communications of UNHCR social media champions and investigated their role as high-profile influencers. In this study, we offer a design science research and data analytics framework and propositions based on the social informedness theory we propose in this paper to assess communication about UNHCR's mission. Two variables-refugee-emergency and champion type-relate to the informedness of UNHCR champions' followers. Based on a Twitter sentiment and attitude corpus, we applied a five-step design science analytics framework involving machine learning and natural language processing to test how the emergency type and champion type impact social communication patterns. Positive and neutral sentiment dominated the tweets of the champions and their followers for most refugee-emergency types. High participation-intensity champions emphasized high-intensity emergencies with tweet patterns reflecting dominant positive or neutral sentiment and sharing/liking attitudes. However, we found that sports figures effects were limited in spreading UNHCR's message, despite their millions of followers. We demonstrate the power of data science for prosocial policy based on refugee crisis awareness and instantiate our methods and knowledge contributions in a research framework that derives knowledge, decisions, and actions from behavioral, design, and economics of information systems perspectives. Abstract: The role of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) is crucial in safeguarding organizations against cyber threats, but it comes with a significant burden. CISOs often work long hours, face a constantly evolving threat landscape, and must balance budget constraints with the need for comprehensive security measures. However, the responsibility can lead to burnout, which not only impacts CISOs' well-being but also the organization's security posture. To prevent CISO burnout, it is crucial to identify the factors influencing it. Through interviews with 11 CISOs, we identified five types of stressors relevant to burnout, including organizational culture related stressors, resources related stressors, job responsibilities related stressors, contextual factors, and emerging stressors. Addressing these stressors and providing support to mitigate the identified stressors is crucial to prevent burnout, support CISOs' well-being, and maintain their effectiveness in their role, which is critical in protecting organizations from cyber threats.
