Abstract: Despite the growing body of literature on technostress, there is limited knowledge about the emergence of technostress among people working with physical robots. In this paper, we aim to address this research gap by exploring how technostress emerges among employees working with physical robots. The study was based on qualitative online questionnaire responses from 197 present or previous users of robots at work. Based on our data, we identified several robot-related environmental conditions that contributed to perceived work-related stress. Our findings reveal that the emergence of technostress among employees working with physical robots has distinct characteristics and that the technostressors identified in previous studies are insufficient for explaining stress in this context. Therefore, our study extends the technostress literature and provides insights into employees' experiences in organizations that use physical robots. Collapse

Abstract: Over the past few years, cybersecurity has gained importance for organizations as social engineering attacks in general, and in particular phishing attacks evolved. Previous phishing research focused on improving the susceptibility of individuals towards phishing attacks, while collective security behavior has been neglected. In this emergent research forum paper, we aim to contribute to the existing phishing literature by extending the scope from the individual towards the collective and the effect of security networks on phishing susceptibility. The work plans to evaluate the effect of trust, interdependence, connectivity, relational strength, position within a network and the impact within a network on spear phishing susceptibility. Thus, our work intends to show whether security networks can improve the collective behavior when being targeted on online social networks. Collapse

Abstract: Software defines digital infrastructures in the manufacturing industry, connecting services and computation resources to machines and devices. These infrastructures aim at increased flexibility, scalability, and a wider application portfolio for automated manufacturing processes. At the same time, the complexity of securing software increases dramatically. Threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of software can result in critical losses for automated industrial production and impact manufacturing companies. In order to map existing and emerging security challenges, we present the results of a hermeneutic literature review structured along abstraction levels and vertical integration of software. Based on this structure, we derive implications for academia and practice focused on system integrators, developers, and security auditors of digital infrastructures. Thereby, we discuss courses of action mapped to software security black boxes, infrastructure heterogeneity, and the adaptation of security for operational usage. Collapse

Abstract: The current digitalization is a disruptive, challenging process that causes a social-technical transition in organizations. Due to that, there are more and more use cases in companies. Action research as a form of social research combines theoretical knowledge and practical execution, which is why it is suitable for current challenges. In several cycles, a literature analysis is carried out to build the knowledge base and establish hypotheses. Based on this, an action is then performed, which is subsequently analyzed, whereupon the knowledge base is expanded through literature. Since action research has not been used much in information systems so far, it is important to identify the reasons for the low use of action research in the research area of information systems. In this paper a systematic literature review was used to identify the barriers that explain the low use of action research in information systems. The findings are twelve different barriers, which are classified into three categories. The categories are "Human Factors", "Method Factors" and "Application Factors". In addition, the research paper concludes with specific implications for these three categories. Collapse

Abstract: Data is increasingly seen as a source of value for organizations, requiring employees' skills to collect, transform, and use to improve decision-making. The sum of these skills is named data literacy. This paper aims to develop a tool to assess the data literacy of individuals in the business workforce. Using a design science research approach, we developed a data literacy assessment tool based on 18 core competencies across three skill levels. We tested this survey tool with 243 respondents in a large North American financial company. Our artifact provided an accurate assessment of intra-and inter-individual competencies and the identification of typical profiles required following the employees' role as data consumers or producers. This study is the first to propose a complete definition of the data literacy construct with a validated data literacy competencies assessment tool adapted to the business workforce. Collapse

Abstract: Due to ongoing digitalization and the social distancing measures that came along with the COVID-19 pandemic, the working conditions and environments have changed for many individuals. Because of increased telework, the use of digital technologies for communicating and collaborating at work has been intensified, which can cause technostress. With longitudinal data from two surveys – one before and one during the COVID-19 pandemic – the paper analyzes the relationship between four social support dimensions (supervisor support, co-worker support, sense of community at work, and family support) and technostress creators. The study shows that social support can be an effective inhibitor of technostress creators. However, social support dimensions have to be differentiated in that regard. Further, the results show that the inhibiting effect of family support has become even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results contribute to technostress research and research with regard to the new normal of working after the pandemic. Collapse

Abstract: Organizations acknowledge that focusing on operational efficiency is insufficient to respond to disruptive forces and advances in digital technologies. Hence, business process management (BPM) needs to become more innovation-driven and capitalize on opportunities related to new products, services, and business models. Despite recent contributions, more research is required to strengthen the BPM capabilities of organizations in this direction. Following the design science research paradigm and situational method engineering, we develop a method to explore process design alternatives to support the implementation of a business model during its innovation. In this research-in-progress paper, we present the initial version of our method. With this research, we aim to contribute to explorative BPM by demonstrating how processes can support organizations in proactively creating value by enabling business model innovation. Our work also contributes to business model research and practice by providing actionable guidelines to implement a business model through the design of processes. Collapse

Abstract: The construct and instrument development process relies significantly on human judgment in the initial stages of the process, specifically in developing construct definition statements, and in developing measurement instruments with high content validity. Natural language processing (NLP) techniques can be used to support human judgment and improve the quality of constructs and instruments employed in research. This paper describes the use of NLP techniques in the construct and instrument development process and presents illustrative results from the use of those techniques. We develop an NLP-based algorithm and illustrate its use to assess measurement instruments. The data used to train the algorithm was 37 years of constructs published in premier IS journals during the period of 1980-2016. The empirical illustrations support our premise that the use of NLP techniques can improve the rigor of the process and improve the quality of constructs and instruments employed in research. Abstract: The use of health data provides valuable insights for both research and industry comprising the potential to improve services and facilitate the development of innovative solutions in healthcare. However, due to data protection requirements and technical challenges, access to health data is still severely inhibited. To enhance access to and utilization of health data, science and politics increasingly consider data trustee models as a conceivable solution. Yet, such concepts are still in their infancies and hardly known. At the same time, they exhibit strong differences in their design. Thus, to foster awareness about and the development of data trustee models, this study investigates their design characteristics and integrates them into a holistic taxonomy under the lens of European data law. Additionally, design patterns are explored and archetypes derived. The findings reveal that data trustee models in healthcare follow some overarching design patterns and can be assigned to four dominant archetypes. Collapse
