Abstract: Despite the great importance of designing innovative business models, a validated methodology that helps related process is still not available. To fill this gap, this research introduces business model management concepts that consider business models as individual entities that can be systematically developed and managed by utilizing science based methodology. This study mainly focuses on proposing business model evaluation and deployment framework by applying analytic network process (ANP), a multi multiple criteria decision-making method and portfolio matrix strategy. The proposed evaluation method is designed to consider both internal and external perspectives where internal perspective is measured through ANP method by employees, while external perspective is measured through customer survey by in-depth interview. The obtained values from ANP and customer survey are then used to construct the business model portfolio matrix for continuous business model management. To this end, this study identifies 12 criteria within three different categories employed in ANP analysis and business model portfolio matrix, respectively. The proposed framework for managing business models provides new insights to both practitioners and academics. It regards business models as individual entities and introduces a way to practically apply the business model concept. It also provides managers with guidelines to manage business model alternatives in terms of evaluation, selection, and continuous management. Finally, because this study is, to the best of our knowledge, one of the first attempts to employ the portfolio management concept in business model research, it can function as the foundation for future applied business model research. Abstract: This paper demonstrates our proposed Reuse Strategic Decision Pattern Framework (RSDPF) based on blending ANP and TOPSIS techniques, enabled by the OSM model with data analytics. The motivation, related work, theory, the use and deployment, and the service deployment of the framework have been discussed in details. In this paper, RSDPF framework is demonstrated by the data analysis and interpretations based on a financial service firm. The OSM model allows 3 step of processed to be performed in one go to perform statistical tests, identify linear relations, check consistency on dataset and calculate OLS regression. The aim is to identify the actual, expected and risk rates of profitability. Code and services can be reused to compute for analysis. Service integration of the RSDPF framework has been demonstrated. Results confirm that there is a high extent of reliability. In this paper, we have demonstrated the reuse and integration of the framework supported by the case study of the financial service firm with its data analysis and service to justify our research contributions – reuse and integration in statistical data mining, knowledge and heuristic discovery and finally domain transference. Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to present a novel and useful application of a specific analytical technique to indicate the interactions and calculate the ranking of the barriers of electronic commerce (EC) in the Iran Khodro industrial group, a leading Iranian automotive company, using the combination of two techniques: interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and the fuzzy analytical network process (FANP). Based on an in-depth review of the relevant literature and interviews with managers and experts from the company, thirteen barriers and challenges to the implementation of e-commerce were determined and categorized into four main factors: technical, organizational, individual, and environmental. In the following step, the ISM technique is applied to construct a structural graph and identify inherent interactions among these barriers. The FANP is then used to quantify the relationships and weigh the significance of these barriers. The results obtained from the proposed model reveal that a “lack of awareness regarding the benefits and nature of electronic commerce” is the most important barrier to the implementation of e-commerce. This type of modeling approach can be extremely valuable for companies that wish to focus their efforts and resources on removing the most important barriers and challenges toward the successful implementation of EC. Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to propose an effective hybrid process for evaluating district development directions concerning district revitalization and regeneration (DRAR) prospects along with simultaneous positive and negative conflict criteria and their interdependence. Accordingly, the fuzzy Delphi method (FDM), the interpretive structural modeling (ISM), and the analytic network process (ANP) with benefits, opportunities, costs, and risks (BOCR) are integrated to construct a project selection model regarding the DRAR. A real case in Jiufen in Taiwan is studied using the proposed model to evaluate four feasible development directions, and the results verify the applicability of the novel MCDM method. This hybrid process can not only transform complex interaction of district reviving factors into simple quantitative evaluation, but its result can also be guidance for determining future development direction. Abstract: This paper presents an alternative approach for evaluating the efficiency of integrated circuit (IC) design firms. In doing so, it accounts for differences between technology groups containing one or more design firms, and input and output factors to prevent influences of scale (e.g., firm size). Specifically, we employed a directional distance function approach to data envelopment analysis in order to evaluate inefficiency scores and differences among groups based on input and output factors. We found the efficiency of Taiwan's IC design firms to be dependent not only on firm size but also on R&D expenditure and patent revenue. Our findings suggest that these factors significantly influence the technical efficiency of Taiwan IC design. Furthermore, by focusing on technology gaps, we offer some suggestions for the different groups based on group-frontier and meta-frontier analyses. Finally, using the results of these analyses, we extend the global results of this study, presenting ways to further improve efficiency. Collapse

Abstract: a b s t r a c tAlthough some researches had submitted the hierarchical model of customer value, there are still questions remaining in the model. How to achieve a more effective method for obtaining and analyzing data from customers concerning their expectations is still lacking. Therefore, this research first applied the modification of the means-end chain (MEC) to construct a hierarchy framework of customer value to allow product attributes to be linked. Next, this research combined fuzzy analytic network process (FANP) in exploring customer preference to catch the multiple needs of customers. Meanwhile, in the measurement of customer preference, fuzzy logic and linguistic variables are utilized to overcome human subjective and imprecise thinking. Overall, this research proposes the hierarchy framework of customer value including the causal relationships of attributes-consequence-value to fill previous model's gap, and identified the factors which could enhance the value of bundle, in contrast to the many monetary research treatments of product bundles. Abstract: This paper aims to clarify the misunderstanding of high expenditure on knowledge management systems adoption, and provides a novel approach for the most emergent knowledge management components to catch up to the pace of their rivals for the late adopters of knowledge management systems. This paper adopts MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision Making) approaches to solve this KM adoption problem, and ranks the gaps of the KM aspects in control items to achieve the aspired level of performance. The findings demonstrate that the knowledge management gaps within the service industry are higher than the gaps within the IC (Integrated Circuit) and banking industries. After normalization and computation, the knowledge management gap of the service industry is 0.4399(1), the knowledge management gap of the IC (Integrated Circuit) industry is 0.3651(2), and the knowledge management gap of the banking industry is 0.2820(3). The findings also show that the criteria for weighting in different industry sectors are quite different; and the adoption strategies for different industry sectors should be considered separately according to the SME industry sectors. Abstract: Green supply chain management has appeared as an essential strategy for enhancing environmental performance of processes, structures, and products accordingly to address regulatory and competitive forces. Korean firms lag in green logistics activities relative to ‘green’ leading companies in advanced countries. Thus, few papers have identified and investigated green supply chain systems within South Korea. To further understand how some Korean firms may wish to further develop green logistics and supply chain practices, this paper explores a decision making framework of Green Logistics by using ANP (analytic network process). We derived 5 clusters and 21 components forming the strategic green logistics, and then conducted surveys for pairwise comparison of experts on Green Logistics in Korean firms, and computed relative weights of the clusters. Our findings indicate that Green Logistics would be very helpful for managers to adjust their strategic decisions for green supply chain management. The technique proposed in this paper may be generalized to other countries with the framework developed not unique to just Korean industry. Collapse

Abstract: In this paper, a distance-based group decision-making (GDM) methodology is proposed to solve unconventional multi-person multi-criteria emergency decision-making problems. In this model, some decision-makers are first identified to formulate a group decision-making framework. Then a standard multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) process is performed on specific decision-making problems and different decision results are obtained from different decision-makers. Finally, these different decision results are aggregated into a group consensus to support the final decision-making. For illustration and verification purposes, a numerical example and a practical unconventional emergency decision case are presented. Experimental results obtained demonstrate that the proposed distance-based multi-criteria GDM methodology can improve decision-making objectivity and emergency management effectiveness. Collapse

Abstract: The airline industry employs advanced e-commerce technologies to retain frequent customers and attract new passengers, but it is likely that not all airlines have clear knowledge about how many gaps should be filled between the status quo and an ideal website. This study proposes an integrated model for evaluating airlines’ websites in terms of the perspectives of “marketing mix 4Ps” and “website quality”. In order to verify the practicality and usefulness of this model, an empirical study of the Taiwanese airline industry is offered to illustrate the application of the proposed model. The model first applies the DEMATEL method to cope with the interdependencies between criteria. It then converts the criteria’s cause and effect relations into a visual structural map where the ANP method can help compute the weight of criteria. Finally, it uses the modified VIKOR method to rank e-commerce websites of the five Taiwanese airlines. Overall, the results show that the Taiwanese airlines still have a great deal of room to improve their websites. This proposed model not only provides helpful information for airlines to understand their websites’ quality level, but also contributes to industrial applications in terms of providing some worthwhile recommendations for building an ideal website.
